“Landes wins large contract for manufacturing of Airbus A350-doorsystems”
Landes High End Machining BV has recently won a new large contract for the manufacturing of assembled systems for the new Airbus A350. This time it is about the delivery of the so called PDLS: Private Door Locking Systems. These electronically operated systems assure that the cabin doors at the cockpit and cabin crew rest compartments to be normally closed and to open automatically when the cabin pressure drops down. Both production of the individual precision parts as well as the assembly and electromechanical testing of these systems will be carried out by Landes. Within this contract, Landes will produce 4 different versions of the system. Apart from faultless and reliable operation, the requirements from Airbus concerning visual- and acoustic properties are very strict. Shipments of these systems from Landes are planned to ramp up from the 1st. Quarter 2015.
Mid 2013 Landes won another large Airbus-A350 contract involving the manufacturing op sensor parts. This new PDLS-contract represents a turnover value of approx. € 4 mio. and covers a period of 7 years. For Landes this contract means another step forward in realising its strategy focussed on further penetration in Aerospace market segments.
Landes is a supplier of complex mechanical parts for high end industries. Approx. 35% of its turnover comes from Aerospace & Defence industries. In addition, parts are delivered to semiconductor industries, medical technology, sensor technology and general construction. The company employs over 50 people and is both ISO-9001 and AS-9100C certified.
